Martin Kaptein

Biografie

De uit Nederland afkomstige pianist en musicus Martin Kaptein heeft naast muziek ook een voorliefde voor filosofie.

Een van Martins projecten die muziek en filosofie verenigen is de Scriabin Club. Het doel van de Scriabin Club is het creëren van een gemeenschap waar gesprekken over kunst en leven plaatsvinden en gelijkgezinden worden samengebracht. Daarnaast staat het creëren van een muziekschool en leeromgeving van de hoogste kwaliteit voor pianolessen en algemene culturele vorming centraal.

Martin heeft deelgenomen aan vele pianowedstrijden en masterclasses zoals: In 2015 won Martin de eerste prijs op het beroemde “St. Cecilia International Piano Competition” in Porto, Portugal, waarvoor hij in de daaropvolgende jaren opnieuw werd uitgenodigd voor solorecitals. In 2019 won Martin met zijn trio het kamermuziekconcours van het ArtEZ Conservatorium in Zwolle. In 2021 werd Martin uitgenodigd voor de exclusieve “Feuerwerk” Piano Academy in Einbeck, Duitsland.

Martin studeerde bij gerenommeerde musici en docenten als Mikhail Markov (RU), Elena Golovinskaya (RU), Frank van de Laar (NL), Vitaly Samoshko (UA) en Alessandra Brustia (IT).

Martin is zelf ook een gepassioneerd pianoleraar en ziet zichzelf als onderwijzer in de brede zin van het woord.
